Registration fees:

€70 (professional), €40 (student) on or before 31st of May 2017

€90 (professional), €60 (student) after 31st of May 2017

The registration fee includes:

  • Attendance at all oral and poster sessions and workshops
  • Morning and afternoon coffee on both the 15th and 16th of July 2017
  • Lunch on both the 15th and 16th of July 2017
  • Evening reception on the 15th of July 2017
  • Printed program volume

Optional extras are:

  • Dinner on the 15th of July 2017 (€22.50)
  • Ticket to Summer on the Quad on the 15th of July 2017 (€30)
  • Place at a post-conference dinner on the 16th of July 2017 (payment at the restaurant on that evening)

Payment is by online credit / debit card transaction only. The full fee must be paid at the time of registration.

Registration and payment will be confirmed by email, including a registration receipt.


Letter of invitation

A letter of invitation can be issued solely for the purpose of assisting participants with applications for visas and / or funding to attend the workshop. If you require a letter of invitation, please register and pay for the conference and indicate your need for a letter of invitation to The invitation will be posted via Air Mail; please allow for at least 12 days for the invitation to arrive.



Boxed lunches will include a sandwich, piece of fruit, chocolate bar, bag of crisps and bottled water. Some special dietary requirements can be catered for, e.g. vegetarian, vegan, coeliac. Please indicate any special dietary requirements at the time of registration.



Dinner on the 15th of July will be at UCC’s Glucksman Gallery, a 2 minute walk from the conference venue. The menu will include salads and breads, a choice of main courses (which should be booked at the meeting registration desk before 11 am on the 15th of July), tea/coffee and petit fours. The cost of the dinner will be €22.50.

The post-conference dinner on the 16th of July will be on Washington Street, a 15 minute walk from UCC. Attendees may book a place at the time of registration; payment will be taken at the restaurant.


Summer on the Quad

The 12th Summer’s Evening on the Quad concert is an open-air musical extravaganza and visual spectacle – a highly successful annual fixture in the Irish music and social calendars that brings together an audience of over 2,000 music lovers. Set in the beautiful lawns of the Quad, surrounded by Gothic-style limestone buildings, the concert is accompanied by dramatic lighting and has played host to Ireland’s finest musicians over the past 11 years. The 2017 concert will take place on Saturday 15th of July at 8 pm at the Main Quad, UCC and will raise funds for deserving local and regional charities. Tickets are €30. Refreshments are available during the concert. Performers in previous years have included the Celtic Tenors, the Cork Youth Orchestra, Brian Kennedy, internationally acclaimed Irish soprano Cara O’Sullivan, and others. The line-up for 2017 has yet to be announced (check for updates here) but it promises to be a memorable night of music!
